Home Kit Launched On July 17.

The official site have a competition for fans to attend the launch of the new home shirt, now provided by premium kit manufacturers Nike.

The launch is being held at Harvey Nichols in the Mailbox shopping centre on Tuesday July 17.

To enter the competition, which has a pretty tough question I must say ;-) Click Here

Why on earth is it being launched at top end fashion retailer rather than on the pitch???

Record sales I wonder? Would certainly imagine so. Looking forward to seeing the lads wearing the new number at Columbus on the 28th of the month.

This of course means I can pop down to Villa Park next week and buy mine. Should I have Defoe put on the back in a "we know he is coming" type of way?

when i went to buy my season ticket last month, i asked the women working in the club shop when the new kit will be out, she said it would be the week beginning 9th july (this week). And i had that feeling that the new faces (if they arrived) would be modelling the shirt. Now that we know that it is next week (a week late) does this mean the signings will be rolling it late this week or early next week to model the kit?

Look everyone same old squad but smaller and there at Harvey Nichs. . . but whats that ...... we have a new kit, thats got to be worth a few places in the league! You can qualify for the champs league just by having a Nike Kit - what you cant? oh bugger. At least we could sign nugent or bellamy or distin or bent ... what they have gone to our rivals .... bugger again......just joking I am happy with the usual mediocrity and disapointment really I am :)

Realistically, its difficult to get too overly excited about the launch of a new kit, when in truth there are a few more important items on our agenda, such as strengthening this current squad of ours. Wheels are no doubt in motion, but a few new arrivals to introduce alongside the new kit would help make July the 17th a considerably better day.
