Aston Villa's current shirt sponsors have announced that they will not be looking to renew the deal at the end of the season.
DWS Investments was the UK arm of the German-based Deutsche Bank and they saw Villa as a good way to gain exposure for their UK division. However they have since been bought out so have no remaining business links in the UK!!
Officials at the club are apparently searching for a new sponsor, although with no chief executive, no financial director and no commercial director, you have to start to question just how they will get on?
Not only that, but surely the supposed takeover situation will also have ramifications? Who would sponsor a club when they don't know who will be in charge?
Some suggestions for sponsors from forum member Denis B are:
2) Co-op Funeral Directors (Not Hodgson though)
3) SPAR (Well we are a corner shop)
4) 'Next to Nothing'
5) British Heart Foundation
6) Cancer Research
7) Crash, Bang, Wallop (a shop that may only be local to Solihull)
Aston Villa have a few players out on loan so far this season, so here's an update following on from the last month.
Gordon Cowans' Under 21 side hosted Burnley on Monday at Bodymoor Heath in a friendly.
Aston Villa have six players away with their countries in the October international window.
Midfielder Jordan Veretout hasn't just had to adjust to life in a new country, at a new club and with a new language, there was also the small matter...
