O'Leary and Bruce In Sack Race?
Well, the sack race seems to be well and truly on and the odds for O'Leary to be first have tumbled from 16/1 a couple of weeks ago to 6/1 now. Villa only have 2 wins in 8 and haven't recorded back to back wins in 33 attempts. If not for the Blues victory, his position might already have been severely tested.
Ladbrokes had a number of bets placed in the last week, one for £500, and the odds were changed from 7/1 - 6/1 within an hour.
Our relegation odds don't look great either being cut from 12/1 to 9/1.
His counterpart across the City isn't fairing any better with Steve Bruce at 9/2 down from 6/1.
They have also been forced to slash the odds on city rival Steve Bruce after Blues surrendered to Blackburn. Bruce is now 9/2 from 6/1.
George Burley has been linked to the Villa hotseat by press reports at the weekend following his resignation at high flying Hearts.

I didn't think we'd be seeing a change of boss, what with Mister Ellis sorting out a sale etc. to new buyers. Personally I'm of the opinion that no manager will fulfil his and our potential until some life is injected into the boardroom.

Agreed Leo. Also, at the AGM Ellis said no staff reviews until they have considered the 'approaches'. Mind you, all sorts of rumours still doing the rounds, including Burley in as an interim manager. Don't believe any of it, but do enjoy the whispers!!

Our defenders especially seem to be cursed. Laursen is a long term injury, Delaney has suffered all season with injuries and is only now getting back into contention, even reserve defender Cahill is having to have an exploratory operation to sort out his ankle injury.
