The General Says Relax

The General has told Lisa Smith at the Birmingham Post that fans should relax and let Martin O'Neill do the business in the transfer window!

With nerves slightly jangling at the lack of transfer activity, Villa director General Charles Krulak said: 'I know fans are very eager to see who Aston Villa will bring in but I would urge them to trust the manager and trust the board because signings will come.' Yeah, you watch, they'll all come next bloody week as soon as I'm on the plane for my holidays. I spend the whole season talking about this that and the other and as soon as I'm nowhere near a computer, all hell breaks loose and I miss the excitement! lol

The General added, in true Frankie Goes To Hollywood style ''Relax and leave it up to Martin O'Neill and Randy Lerner. Believe in Martin O'Neill and let him do what he has to do. He knows his squad and he knows who he wants to bring in.'

Saying that Martin O'Neill will do his 'magic' and that the money is there from Randy Lerner.

'There will be signings, of that I have no doubt'

Maybe we should get some FGTH style t-shirts for the new season, The General Says Relax!!! Ok, maybe not!

With a lot of players out of contract at the end of the month the next two weeks should be busy!

Well said The General. During recent summers past, I think we'd all have been tearing our hair out by now, resigned to the fact that the promised new faces just weren't going to arrive. This though is the new era, different times, a very different owner/board, and the club is finally bouncing back. Our time will come. MON knows full well who he wants and needs(David Nugent please Martin).
