Lee Hendrie Still Looking For Club

Lee Hendrie is still trying to find a new club for the forthcoming season having become a free agent this summer. He has been linked to all comers but has yet to agree a deal.

He told Sky Sports: 'A lot of people are away, it is worrying really because I just don't know where I stand. There is nothing really happening, but I am looking forward to wherever I go. I am champing at the bit. I just want it to happen quickly now so that I can start focusing on football again.'

I must admit I am surprised he hasn't been snapped up, he might not be the best but he certainly isn't the worst and some of the clubs could do worse for free!

He has also said, despite links to Coventry, Sheffield United, Stoke, Leicester and many more I can't remember, that Derby would be 'perfect' for him. Adding 'They're obviously a club that are going places and any player would want to be a part of that.'

I'm sure we could welcome Mr. Hendrie to the City Ground

interesting that he hasn't been snapped up, are clubs just waiting or are his terms too high!?
The Fear
I really hope we finally get him this time! Perhaps his wage demands are too high, but I doubt it?
Blade1889
maybe he should ring up sammy lee, he loves our rejects

Certainly Lee doesn't seem to be finding it all that easy to get fixed up, which does make you wonder exactly why that should be. Lots of rumours have circulated about who wants him, but very little real concrete interest it would appear. Either his agent is failing him badly, or Lee is demanding top wages.

I thought his Dad does all his deals.
Adam Deuce
Forest would be a good move for him.
chris the villan
Obviously holding out for the best deal. Are Stoke favourites?
sandgroanun
I think he wants to stay relatively local, so yes, I guess that would put Stoke as one of the favourites, but I wouldn't be too surprised to see him end up at Coventry City, Nottingham Forest, or even remain in the premiership with Derby County.
