Villa's Massive Double Dutch Swoop?

Villa's Massive Double Dutch Swoop?

Dutch newspaper Arnhemse Courant is reporting that Aston Villa have made a double £15million Ajax swoop.

The paper claims the bid is for Ryan Babel and 23-year-old Wesley Sneijder.

Seems Villa are close but no cigar as the Dutch club want nearer £18million for the pair.

20-year-old Babel plays either as a striker or left winger and has 14 goals for Ajax and 4 for Holland. Sneijder is an attacking midfielder with 43 club goals to his name and 6 for Holland.

So is this paper the Daily Star or The Independant of Holland? It would be interesting to see how much truth there is behind this rumour. Come on MJ, put the Dutch connection to use and splash the cash. By the way, £18 million is nothing for two superstars!!!

£30 million for both would not be over the top by any means!! If Bent is worth £17m both these guys are worth at least that. They would be the biggest signings Villa make of all time.

Now this sounds more like it. The £3m difference between offer and demanded price is made up from the sale of the players who have left, so go for it. They are worth the asking price.
