The Football Fans Census who Vital Football promote regularly recently ran a poll (which we ran across our Vital Midlands sites) on the state of Midlands football on behalf of the Express & Star. Part one was out yesterday and showed some interesting stats for Villa, interesting because Villa fans are happy at last!

A very brief overview of Part One results in relation to Villa are:

Q: Given the resources at his disposal, how would you rate the performance of your club’s current manager?

O’Neill got:
38% “very good”
52% “good”
9% “OK”

Q: How do you rate the performance of your club chairman and board of directors this season?

83% gave Randy Lerner and his crew a “very good”
0% voted in the negative.

Q: How happy are you with your club’s transfer policy over the last 12 months?

76% of Villa fans were between “happy” and “very happy”

Q: In terms of value for money, how do you rate the food and drink on sale at your club?

50% said what was available was “OK”
20% said what was available was “good”

Q: In terms of value for money, how do you rate the replica shirts and merchandise on sale at your club?

Villa fans gave an “OK” vote in the mid 40% range and 29% 'good'.
