'If It's Football, It's Vital'

O'Neill - New Players Will Arrive

Martin O'Neill has told the Villa faithful not to panic, despite only exits so far this summer, he says they know what they are doing.

With Gavin McCann and Jlloyd Samuel joining Bolton Wanderers and Lee Hendrie leaving on a free, not to mention the exit of striker Juan Pablo Angel, it seems we've had a clearing of the decks but not seen any of the numerous rumours of incoming stars come to light as yet.

Martin O'Neill says don't panic!

He said: 'We can't have what happened to us last November - when we were scratching around for players - happen to us again. We have a fairly decent idea of what we're going to try to do. The whole reason I've come is because I want to try to fulfil the hopes, dreams and ambitions of the supporters.'

'It's not easy, but that's part of the whole excitement. Randy Lerner has been very supportive and he wants to try to lift the club from a position of non-strength into one of strength.'

2 minutes to midnight is when the deals will get done with MON, he likes a late one!!
BomBom
I dont think there is a need to hit the panic button just yet, tomorrow will do.....

Just wait. It may not end up with the overpriced superstars. MON is too shrewd to blow Randys money as would Dol. The Austrian boys sound good, I would be surprised if he pays overtop money for coco or anyone.

Blah,blah,blah-what happened to actions speaking louder than words? We`ve gone from Dougs regime who never spoke/did bugger all to the new " all talk/no action " if we`ve got the money/motivation then lets get the players in that we`re after.
ASPINALL
Well hurry the ***** up. i expect a star to fill that number 9 shirt
AussieVilla
i expect signings to be made in the not too distant future. But we all must remember that most footballers are on holidays or on international duty. So be patient!! and all our wishes will be proven. MoN knows who he wants and will do all he can to bring them in. I think our ( the Villa faithful) problem is that we have been starved of being linked with any world class players that we are kinda like kids on xmas eve. if were not careful we'll all get sent to bed!!

Dont dispute it for a minute MON, not for a minute. This is the RL/MON era, times have changed. Belief has returned. We're no longer fed false promises.

Mind you, the earlier that these new faces come in, the better. Lets get them in and settled before pre-season.
