West Ham Skipper To Villa?

West Ham Skipper To Villa?

A report in the Express and Star claims that Villa have made a £7m bid for want-away West Ham captain Nigel Reo-Coker.

Some whispers on the forums yesterday suggested his number plate had been seen at Villa Park, not too sure about that but hey ho, you never do know!

The Express claim that 'sources' in London say Villa are ahead in the race for the 23-year-old midfielders signature ahead of interest from Arsenal, Tottenham and Newcastle who haven't tabled bids.

Reo-Coker from two years ago would be a good addition. The Reo-Coker from this season would be a bad signing. Bit of a big time charlie, i mean his interview the other day when he was getting his hair cut!!! what was that about!!! But in MON I trust so if he thinks he can do a job then so be it

So Villa are ahead of Arsenal, Spurs and Newcastle on the basis that the others haven't tabled bids!

He's not impressed with his attitude so far. Whinging that west ham didn't make him feel wanted, seems like the type of character we really don't want. Collymore ring any bells?

teamtalk.com has us in for Sneijder now after Valencia failed with a third bid. They are quoting £8m. The guy is a class act. 18 goalds from midfield and only 22. They also mention that we have to move quick as Barcelona will be after him if Deco leaves. To me this would be far too good to be true - but then a lot of things have over the last year or so with Villa. I seriously think we should go in with £15m plus. He really is sheer class and we could shift all season tickets and let the world know that we have it in us to sign the top players. I truly believe that if he signed it would be the biggest coup Villa have made in terms of playing staff EVER. The guy is awesome and if we dont move fast we will miss out. Put it this way if Reo-Coker is £7m I would be okay with us spending £15m plus on Sneijder. QUALITY!

Nige is another England U21s Captain ala Barry but we don't want any whingers and I have seen far more of him complaining and moaning than playing football. Come on MON, we need a world class centre mid desperately

i still think we should be setting our sights higher than players from west ham west brom or championship sides if we are going to battle for a top six place. we need to be making big name signings not prima donnas like Reo coker
