Jumper Jumper Sale At Villa?

The Lancashire Post say that Burnley might have to pay £1million to secure the signing of Villa midfielder Eric Djemba-Djemba who was on loan at Turf Moor last season.

Burnley manager Steve Cotterill said at the end of the season that the Djemba twins impressed in their 3 month loan spell and that he'd like to take them permanently.

Jumper Jumper joined Villa for £1.35million in January 2005 under David O'Leary after Sir Alex Ferguson realised the player wasn't 'the next Roy Keane'! He hardly played for us either as O'Leary realised he wasn't even the next Sasa Curcic!

The midfielder said: 'If Aston Villa don't want to keep me I don't want to go back there and not play football. So if Burnley are willing to keep me it would be good for me to stay because the lads in the dressing room are fantastic. Everyone is fantastic with me here. I would have no problem in staying.'

Djemba-Djemba only has to play another 5 games to activate a clause in his contract meaning Villa will have to pay Manchester United another £250k, so it looks like there will be no more loans for the player and that he will be one of a few departures this summer.

2 players for the price of one.

Couldnt we sell one of them and keep the other just in case?

£1 million sounds about right. If Burnley want him then they must come up with the cash. If not he can stay and fight for his place at VP. It is about time we starting manipulating this transfer market to our advantage. I hate saying this but the dildo salesmen from somali heath have got this off to a fine art. £7 million for Upson, £5.5 million for Heskey and £6.5 million for Pennant, and these players were desperate to get away from Sty Andrews.

He never looked a useful or realistic signing from day one. Why did we even consider bringing him onboard? It will remain a mystery.
