Bellamy Not Looking To Move

Vital Villa asked last week if you would like to see Aston Villa sign Liverpool striker Craig Bellamy.

The vote, same as the article comments and forum posts, were very split. To Bellend or not to Bellend.

42% said they wanted him as he is a winner, 47% said no thanks, he is trouble. That left 11% unsure.

According to the latest reports, the troubled Red wants to stay at Liverpool despite reports elsewhere suggesting Rafa Benitez is ready to off-load a number of players including Bellamy.

Bellamy said:

'Everywhere I go there is speculation. There was talk of Aston Villa wanting me within a couple of months of me arriving at Liverpool, and that situation doesn't seem to have gone away. They have always been there it seems. For me, I have three years left on my Liverpool contract and I have the Czech match next. Then I have the summer and Liverpool to think of for next season, it's as simple as that. Athens has gone, and that's the only way I can deal with that. And it would be nice if I had a summer without speculation. It's amazing, though, that my price keeps going up, but it's never quiet for me during the season or the off-season, is it? I don't expect anything else.'

Another report suggests that Tottenham striker Jermain Defoe will be off to Portsmouth for £5million. £5million? Doesn't sound a bad deal that for an England striker, maybe the links to him for Villa will re-surface?!

I would rather Defoe for 5m than Bellamy for the reported 12m even if Bellamy and Carew would cause a fuss defenders simply couldn't cope with

All press talk, must admit I enjoy the speculation but most of it is total rubbish really! Can't see anyone taking Bellamy for £12m, especially with just 7 PL goals last season.
The Fear
He doesn't want a move yet he is amazed that his price keeps going up?
Pking
Gurpreet hayer would be a fanastic signing!!!!
villasw
Bellamy has several strings to his bow and remember how good he was at Blackburn last season. Defoe is 3 foot tall and can't (more like Won't) pass and will shoot from anywhere. Although agreed that £12m is way over
Villan444
Who the hell is Gurpreet hayer!?
son_of_cher
Gurpreet Hayer is a right back playing for .......... the mighty Tipton! er.................... no thanks.
Gazvilla
We must not forget that Luke Moore is a superstar in the making and better than anyone we are likely to sign this Summer. All I am saying is Give Luke a Chance, All i am saying is Give Luke a Chance ..... etc
stennyvilla
defoe over bellamy any day of the week.
CPAVFC
Luke is a star in the making, watch him go.

Can understand Craig Bellamy's reluctance to move away from Anfield, but if he doesn't fit into the scheme of things there, and its rumoured that he doesn't, then he'll be packing his bags this summer and heading off to pastures new. The big question then is, does MON rate him, and want him at Villa Park? I'd certainly welcome him.

defoe is *****. bellamy would score more goals than defoe. but i'd take smudger over the both of them
bobbyfett
Rumours of him at Villa Park with MON and Randy any one confirm these rumours or should they be firmly placed in the rumour mill?
