McCann Out - Sneijder In?

Gavin McCann is a target for newly promoted Sunderland according to the Birmingham Mail.

The 29-year-old Villa midfielder is under pressure to keep his place in the Villa midfield with younger players coming through the system and more purchases expected in the summer, so it could well make sense to see McCann move on and a return to the Stadium Of Light under Roy Keane might make sense for him.

According to the report 'a clutch' of other Premiership clubs are also interested. Hmmm, been talking with his agent have they!? McCann joined Villa from the then relegated Mackams for £2million in the summer of 2003.

They also say we are after Ajax's 22-year-old Dutch international Wesley Sneijder. That'll do nicely son!

He'd do us, if he ends up half the player Overmars and Bergkamp did for Arsenal we'd be laughing! Like the Dutch, they have a good attitude!

No way - Sneijder is top class and should be a big-4 target. We need Wilf Bouma to do some sweet-talking when the Dutch squad next meet up. Imagine if he signed on July 1st - shockwaves and a definite message sent to other players who may be put of signing because of no European football next season. Also on SkySports rumours pages - people linking us with Gordon, Jaaskelinan and Doyle.

I stand by my wishlist from a month or so ago...Huntelaar & Sneijder,Craig Gordon, Sylvain Distin,Joey Barton( I know I winced the first time and I am wincing again..but the boys a winner,or is that nutter!)and a new one for the mix Van Den Borre to play right back.He was hotly tipped at Anderlecht with Kompany and is one of their star players.Someone solid..that'll do for me..anything else that Martin deems worthy will be a cherry on the top!
