villan444 it was probably the same person who voted for Bardsley as M'ON's best signing. Obviously a couple of acorns short of a squirrels breakfast. Plus there are many fans who only attend 5 or 6 games a season and base their decision on this plus the TV highlights. No I can't understand how they do this either??

There could only realistically have been one winner. Gareth has been a model of consistency since day one, very, very rarely experiencing a below par day, even during our somewhat disappointing mid-season run. We've voted on MON's best signing, but in truth it surely had to be convincing Gareth to put pen to paper on a new extended long term deal?

Oh the poll was for this season..... I thought it was for next season and was glad to see Barry had yet another outstanding season. Seriously to think he was a gnats gonad away from leaving Villa Park for Pompy.

You have a valid point there tarzan, but over the course of the complete season it would have been an injustice for Gareth not to have been king of the castle. A fully fit ML playing in say 75% of next season's games though will surely be a very viable contender for the 2007-08 award.
