Villa Fans Snapping Up Tickets

Optimism is high amongst Villa fans as season ticket sales have gone up by 350% on this time last year!!!

With a 9 unbeaten run at the end of the season, fans have maybe seen enough to convince them with some summer spending next season is going to be more than worth watching! I don't think the last game of the season and the scarves, parade of the team of 82 and the atmosphere should be underestimated either, I think that re-ignited a good few Villa fires!

Head of Consumer Sales, and top class lady (!) Nicola Keye told www.avfc.co.uk: 'The early signs are very promising and we're optimistic we can reach an all-time high for the 2007-08 season. There's a real feeling of optimism throughout the club and supporters are already looking forward to next season. People are excited about the close-season and the possible new signings, so it's a great time to be associated with the club.'

'A year ago many people were buying season tickets out of a sense of loyalty and possibly force of habit. This time around they're genuinely excited about our prospects and who can blame them? We're all excited.'

Chief Executive, Richard FitzGerald also said: 'Everyone associated with the club has been rightly proud of the value for money offered by an Aston Villa season or match ticket on a year-to-year basis and it was important to retain that reputation. There has been a great deal of discussion recently about the cost of watching top level football but the overall improvement of one of the most robust pricing structures around re-affirms this club's understanding of the current social climate.'

Bit different to the end of last season, most of us couldn't wait for it to and and COULD wait for the next one to start. Now after only a weeks break I can't wait to get back down there!

Does anyone know when the deadline is for reclaiming the same seat from last season? I had a "Final 5" and want to renew it to a full one.

Seats can be changed on saturday 16th June so reclaims must be completed by at least the previous day - if not a couple of days earlier.

maybe we can sell more if this happens "If you buy a Aston Villa season ticket Randy will give you £1m"
Christo
I have my forms to buy my ticket... :)

The supporters aren't stupid. They are well aware that the good times are just around the corner, and it shouldn't be the slightest surprise to anyone that sales show such an increase on this time last season. Then the club was in utter turmoil, with supporters fearing the worst for the campaign ahead. Now here we are, twelve months on, hopes sky high, and belief in the clubs future once again in every Villans heart. The club is on the move, purchasing a season ticket is just plain sense.

Being as how I vowed to eat Fear's y-fronts in the centre circle at half time of the first home game if season ticket sales didn't exceed last season's I am VERY relieved.

This time last season the club were actually in fear of selling less than 10,000 season tickets because of the complete apathy surrounding Villa Park. The club are actually hoping to sell around 25,000 ST's this season. Personally I believe a couple of decent transfer signings could make this figure nearer 30,000. Has there been any news on away fans yet? Are season tickets being sold in the North Stand Lower?

VOTH: Someone said on another thread that they had been asked to move their season tickets from where they are now in the upper Witton lane, presumably that can only be beacause away fans will be there next season.

Cheers jonah. Anybody else know any more on this?

Went to buy me season tickets last Saturday and they were 30 squid cheaper than last season !!! Come on boys,we`ve gotta hit 30,000 and show Randy the love.

Was at the ticket office late last week voth, and I asked that very same question of the young lady who assisted me. She told me that she wasn't aware if a definite decision had been made on the re-locating of away fans, a statement I found surprising as we are no doubt selling season tickets for the North Stand lower IF they are to be booted out to a less obvious vantage point.
