Tell Him To Sod Off Barry!

Tell Him To Sod Off Barry!

Steve McClaren, so called England manager - although lets hope not for long - has put Villa captain Gareth Barry in the England B squad for a match against Albania.

Jeez, well done McClaren, Barry really needs to prove himself at that level doesn't he?

Barry is part of a 20-man squad for the game at Turf Moor with Michael Owen also named, something that will no doubt delight Newcastle United chairman fat Freddy Shepherd who wanted Owen to rest through the summer to get fit to play for the Barcodes.

Well maybe McClaren wants to see how Barry performs at this level before trying him against Brazil in June.

Jesus, why isn`t it just an England international!! I presume it`s so it doesn`t go down on the plonkers record incase we draw, there is 16 out of the 20 players who have England caps and some have quite a few,B internationals used to coincide with Full games normally a day or 2 before so what is this all about ?

I presume your Chris Sutton comment was directed at me Iceman. Obviously playing at any level for your country is a great honour, I just feel that Barry deserves better than this.

Gareth's selection serves absolutely no purpose whatsover. It just allows McClaren to appease the media and the supporters across the country, demanding his inclusion in the first team.

Barry will tear Albania apart, McDonught cant still ignore him if he has a blinder. From Barry's point of view it could be better to start the game for England B rather than coming on as sub for the first team.............He should be starting left wing for england first team anyway but mclaren wont play him for some reason, most people in the country think he should get a shot

At least he is in good Company (sort of). And at last we have found one supporter who thinks McClaren knows what he is doing - must be on the FA panel.
