Vote Alan Perrin Fan Of The Year.

Vote Alan Perrin Fan Of The Year.

Villa fan Alan Perrins, who was up for Barclays Fan of the Month in February, is now up for the fan of the season award.

As the official site explains:

Now Alan, who runs our South West supporters club, is in the frame for the 606 Barclays Fan of the Season award. And he needs your support. Alan is 100 per cent Claret and Blue. He runs our South West supporters club, bringing around 300 fans from Devon, Cornwall and Somerset to every single home game. Earlier this year, when Villa played West Ham, someone booked to travel with the supporters club forgot to inform Alan he was disabled. Alan hired a people carrier and drove him personally all the way to Villa Park following three mini buses and three coaches in convoy. Last year Alan organised a Fans v Aston Villa Old Stars charity match raising £3,500 for Devon Air Ambulance.

He was at a Supporters Consultation Group meeting and when asked what time was best for him judging by the distance he has to travel, he said 'anytime, I'll do anything for Villa'. Can't say fairer than that.

No matter who eventually wins the award, this competition as such just goes to show that up and down this great country, there are loyal, dedicated, hard-working supporters, who go above and beyond the call of duty working tirelessly for the clubs they love. Best wishes to Alan, and to his running mates.

Supporting the Villa shouldn't just be about getting behind the team on the pitch, as Saturday showed us, we should be supporting all corners of the club....good luck Alan.
