Martin O'Neill Manager-of-the-month

Martin O'Neill Manager-of-the-month

My mole at the BBC has told me that Martin O'Neill has won the Barclaycard Premiership Manager of the Month award.

Can't 100% guarantee it as I've seen nothing myself but he doesn't usually steer me wrong.

So, well done Martin O'Neill for the storming end to the season - hopefully with two wins to bring us to an end.

(And well done even if this doesn't turn out to be true!!!!!!!!!!)

More cause for celebration if indeed it is proved to be correct. The club as a whole are on a roll right now. All we need is for Randy to be declared 'Owner Of The Year' and we can really pop the champagne.

I think you'll find plenty of Managers have broken the curse of late. I think one was Potato Head.

Sod the curse of the award we are already cursed as its on TV! Maybe this curse will cancel out the other curse and we might win?

When was the last time a Villa manager won this award? Gregory? Just shows the excellent PR job being carried out by the new board of directors, Villa are becoming noticed again! Congratulations to Martin & all the staff & lets get behind them to make Saturday a great occassion for all.

Despite the moaners and groaners, Martin fully deserves this recognition. He's got on with his rebuilding job without a fuss, added quality where possible, and optimism is now very much the name of the game. The first of many Martin, I have absolutely no doubts about that. Now make sure you join the lap of honour tomorrow to ensure that we can all show our appreciation of your efforts. Was it really twelve months ago when David O'Leary attempted to steal the show during the last campaigns lap of dishonour?
