Lawro Says Another Villa Win

Mark Lawrenson has once again predicted a Villa win at the weekend, this time against Sheffield United.

He told the BBC

'Villa are finishing the season extremely strongly - in fact, they are finishing the season how they started it! the new players have started to bed in and gel - and the team is on a good unbeaten run.

Sheffield United are virtually safe, I think anyway, as I cannot see the teams beneath them making up the points. So, I think they will battle and their fans will be great again but I don't think they'll get anything here.'

Prediction: 2-1

Mystic Mug says the current team should be inspired by the team of 82 appearing before kick off (ko 5.15, team of 82 out at 5.00). 2-0 to the Villa.

heh poor Sheff Utd :( this is going to be a bit of a pickle for me, because my family originate from Sheffield and Sheffield United are pretty much my second team for me.

There's just something about tight white shorts.

See Sky Sports website - what has Matt Le ******* got against us? He always errs on the negatives of Villa. This time it's that we have got nothing to play for and we'll be cruising to a draw. Obviously he has no idea of the pre-match parade and the inspiration it will give to the current team. UTV

Matt le "bitter he never hit his expected heights" is always negative to the villa. Anyone with a half ounce of interest in football can see we're not the dire prospect we were under ellis, anyone who suggests so wreak of bitterness. Nothing personal utd fans, good luck, hope you stay up but we're on a decent run right now.
johnnyuk
yes I always noticed he likes to knock us down. Its great having Mcinally and Merson on Sky though, they're always talking us up.

Nothing to play for? What about the 500k per place in the league?! We could still pip Blackburn to tenth spot, we're only a point behind with a better goal difference. They've got a goal in hand but they've got Newcastle and Spurs away before finishing with Reading. Remember guys, 10th is the new 7th!!
claret&blue82
If we don't score first I think it wil end up like the Wigan game

Matt Le Tiss did a season of stand up comedy in Southampton, he used to go up and down the stage telling rubbish jokes for about 85 minutes then pull out a couple of crackers right at the end...#
col8
I remember that joke from Skinner, Col8. Still, nice to be reminded of it!

Interesting that people have started calling him "Tiss" as in norwegian "tiss" is a slang word for penis. Appropriate? :-D What a****!!!!
