Lawro Predicts Another Villa Win!

Lawrenson is amazing me, despite saying we'd win at home last weekend (only to see us draw against Portsmouth) he has again backed the mighty claret and blue to win this weekend against our bogey team Manchester City.

The BBC Pundit, who has fallen in love Villa by the looks of it, predicts 2-1 to Villa saying:

'Aston Villa are going through a funny stage where they can't seem to win at home but keep winning away. Goodness knows why that is. Since the turn of the year, everyone knows City have had a real problem scoring at home so I'm going for an away win here.'

Mystic Mug meanwhile isn't so confident this week and is going for yet another draw.

He has dubious credentials and I wish he would tip somebody else.

Yeah the image..... Lawro has certainly changed since the last time I saw him!

You mean "Chelsea will win 2-0" Lawro? unfortunatelly he's not always 100% acurate..
Blue is the colour

Not having seen MOTD for a while Lawro has certainly changed from how i remember him. As for the match i think with their awful home scoring record, our improved defencive record and our own lack of goals this has 0-0 written all over it . At an 8-1 shot at most bookies its worth a flutter.

The dreaded bogey team, and Darius Vassell. But this is one of our last 3 games in which we should come out on top
AussieVilla
Lawro does make a point about Villa suddenly doing well away from home but unable to win at home. I have a theory. I think that Villa are now settling into a style of play that suits them. The new players have been around a while now and are bedding in. Much of our style of play is based on pace and counter attack which explains why O'Neill is determined to keep Gabby in the team. This means away from home, where the home team is duty bound to attack, we always stand a chance of breaking away on the counter attack. At home, visiting teams are sometimes happy to sit back and we have not yet got the guile to unlock stubborn defensive formations. Don't be surprised of we see MON buy players in the summer who will help do this.

Sods Law says we are going to get a win the weekend! Bet the odds are crap at Bookies?

ive got a right semi, who cares what lawro said.

The feature picture above is provoking some predictable comment. Personally I'm tired of seeing pictures of footballers. It's great to see a couple of supporters for a change.

The form points totally to a draw, you cannot argue against that. DV's record gainst us is majestic and we always seem to get overun by them. Great pic - like a pair of monkey's knuckles.
tarzan
Is this the new kit? It's majestic.
tarzan
Certainly looks good up front. Wonder if she goes down in the box?

City are probably one of the two or three clubs who have more of a problem scoring goals (particularly at The COM Stadium) than we do. I dont think they've scored at home for a few games now, so they are due one (a Darius special no doubt), which will leave us struggling to score at least one to avoid another defeat at the hands of The Citeh. A 1-0 defeat I'm afraid. Sorry Lawro, you've more faith than I.
glensider
I still think DOL was a corporate banker for selling DV. He'd still do the biz for us. They always over run us in midfield, it will be interesting to see how we do tomorrow, Carew has recovered.
tarzan
To change the subject totally, imagine the uproar if Tevez scores the winner tomorrow!
tarzan
We can nick it tomorrow, agree with 2-1 but how did you get the picture of me wife ?
ASPINALL
Tarzan DV was offered a damn good contract at Villa, his form and performances were dropping quicker than a scrubbers draws, the decision to let him go was the right one at the time. In all honesty he has done nothing since leaving Villa Park which would seem to prove the point somewhat.

think the lady in the image raises a couple of outstanding points and couldn't resist sharing her at long last!!!
