Lawro Tips Another Villa Win

There definately is a new world order, Mark Lawrenson all of a sudden can't get enough of tipping Villa to win, I think this the 4th win tip in a row? What is going on?

He told the BBC sport section:

'This isn't going to be a thriller but I think Villa are having a very strong finish to the season. You are looking at them as Uefa Cup challengers next season, they are definitely heading in the right direction under Martin O'Neill.' Adding 'Portsmouth can be pleased with what they have done over the past few months but they have been a bit up and down recently.'

Then Lawro predicts 2-1 to the Villa.

Mystic Mug in the meantime says 1-0 to the Villa and a possible chicken pie for JP. He may just be right on both counts.

Our poll is asking for your predictions.

Is Mr Lawrenson a closet Villan we have to ask ourselves? I like Lawro. I have fond memories of his playing career. He was in the Brighton and Hove Albion side that got thumped 4-1 at Villa Park back in 1980. That result (it was an evening game) sent us to the top of the table for the very first time that campaign, in what was to become our League Championship winning season. Three cheers for Lawro and any defensive blunders he made that night. Hip Hip.......

Ive always said Lawro is never wrong.

I know its off topic but can anyone tell me if we will be getting a new kit sponsor for next season? Hummel is ok and a sight better than Diadorra but think for villa to reach a global market we need a bigger sports brand.not suggesting we will be able to have nike or adidas but reebok are massive in the states and think they only sponsor bolton(correct me if im wrong).RL will have contacts through NFL so surely we could improve on our kit.Mr fear care to start up a poll on do we want new kit sponsor?

Sk1nner, we are getting nike kit next season I think.
jonah
Nike kit next year and a pre season to the states. Randy's global campaign has started.

Check this out - VILLA TO HAVE NO LOGO ON SHIRTS NEXT SEASON - ala Barca in recent years. Just the Nike tick and a big bumper contract. Mark my words.

remember we are on telly and we don't play as well when we play on tv. i think 1-1

I also hate to be the total pessimist, but David James is one game away from getting his clean sheet record, and you can almost bet that it will be a case of 'former club syndrome' and he'll do it against Villa. In saying that though lets hope we can get a result!

I hope someone has given DJ a new space invaders game to keep him awake Saturday night....

No logo! Where has that come from? I hate the logos on the shirts (especially the latest) and will only buy the replica kits. Will consider buying the new kit now though.

I'm staying up late tonight til 1 when the game starts meaning a 2.30 to 3 oclock bed time for me with my second last school term starting the next day. If Im gunna fall asleep in business studies i want a good ******** result meaning nothing short of a win
