Hendrie - You Heard It Hear First!

Hendrie - You Heard It Hear First!

I published an exclusive story on the 8th saying that Lee Hendrie might be lining up a move to Portsmouth. (Story: Click Here ) At the time I couldn't substantiate it, but it appears the exclusive was spot on!

The 29 year old Villa midfielder has now confirmed that his agent has had talks with Portsmouth as he is looking to get regular first team football (that is Lee looking for first team footie you understand, not his agent!!)

Lee told the Mail 'I saw the stories that Portsmouth were looking to come in for me and, personally, I don't know what is going on, although I know my agent has spoken to them. I don't really want to leave but you look at my situation and you think 'what next?' I don't want to go through a season having played six games. It's pretty poor to think that could happen.'

O'Leary appears to be loathed to sell anyone as he has been told that he can't bring anyone in, but if a player wants to go and the cash is right....... Lee is due a testimonial next year, so I guess the terms he would want would be pretty steep as well!
