Villa fans wrap up for Blades game
Villa fans will be able to wrap up for the last home game of the season against Sheffield United as the club have decided to give every single fan who attends a free scarf.
Sounds a cool idea to me, especially as this will give the fans something to hold up when the team of 82 parade around the pitch in part of the European Cup 25th anniversary celebrations.
The scarves will say: 'Proud History - Bright Future'.
5000 tickets are available to season ticket holders (2 per season ticket) at the special price of £5.00

Sheff Utd Saturday May 5 kick-off 5.15pm (Grade B Game)
Tickets on general sale from Monday March 26
Season Ticket holders will be offered an end of season bonus as part of our European Cup 25th anniversary celebrations.
For the Sheffield United game on May 5, we're offering 5,000 tickets at £5 each to Season Ticket holders (maximum two)
European Cup winning skipper Dennis Mortimer and his team-mates will be paraded on the pitch at half-time, so this is a match not to be missed.

Great gesture, great PR. All we normally get come seasons end is a half-hearted lap of honour by a thoroughly dis-interested set of players, and the even less interested few thousand supporters who have been bothered to remain behind.

The game is live on the box. It is the last home game of the season. And it could well be a relegation decider for Sheff Utd (hopefully not for us). All things being equal it should be a full house. What a great opportunity for Villa fans to show the rest of the football world what we are all about. When our heroes of 1982 parade around the pitch, every fan, in every stand should hold their scarves aloft. A slow, loud and passionate rendition of VILLAAAAA VILLAAAAA VILLAAAAAA VILLAAAAA will show our feeling and appreciation of our history and let the current players know of the status they can achieve if thet put silverware back in the trophy cabinet. We will not need to mention any other clubs, this is all about us. It will also be a full and total show of support that the current board are doing everything possible to put this club back on the map again. My eyes have seen the glory of The Villa win the cup. That famous night in Rotterdam when Morty held it up. Claret and blue ribbons on the European Cup. And the Villa go marching on on on. Glory glory Aston Villa. Glory glory Aston Villa. Glory glory Aston Villa. And the Villa go marching ON ON ON ON ON.
