Luke Moore, Ashley Young or both?

Vital Villa asked, in a poll suggested by Col8, Luke Moore or Ashley Young?

Well, actually (and again, thanks to Col!!!!!) to begin with we asked Ashley Young or Luke Young! DOH to me for not noticing.

Oh well, no one said this was a professionally run out fit did they? Well, no one apart from me anyway.

The results were 45% in favour of Luke Moore. Ashley Young got 23% of the vote, 7% backed both and the remainder (25%) - and very sensible voters if I may say so! - said it was too soon to judge.

The latest poll asks what you predict for the game against Blackburn.

bit of a waste of a Poll - MON will always pick the players he has purchased - no matter what.

yeah, don't think Col was thinking who MON would pick, more who us fans would favour. Young could grow into a great player for us, certainly hope so, but not sure he is that different to Gabby and Moore at the moment, so maybe £9m elsewhere would have been better...................WAHEY......... Gabby just scored!
The Fear
I've seen Luke really perform in only one game since breaking into the first team, that being the 4-0 success at The Riverside. Apart from that, he's often flattered to deceive. I think that since he has been out this season a bit of a myth has grown, that he is our saviour. Far from it. He still has it all to prove. He certainly hasn't made the progress that many would have expected when he was writing the headlines in our youth team.

Luke Moore has speed and skill in abundance but is insufficiently robust to become a top quality striker in the Premiership. Young in my opinion matches him for speed and skill, with a "tadge" more vision and awareness and certainly more direct and robust than Moore. But I see Young's best position at wide right and Gabby in the centre with Carew. Sorry, but I can't see Moore becoming a regular squad player unless he can put on 2 stone without losing his speed.
