Villa Player Of March = The Hulk

Vital Villa asked, in a poll suggested by Col8, who was our player of March?

Big John Carew came out the clear winner with 61% of the votes. Looks like The Hulk has impressed the Villa faithful already, or is it just that everyone is afraid not to vote for him!!??

Patrik Berger impressed enough in his limited chances to get 14% of the votes and the ever faithful Gareth Barry got 8%.

Wilfred Bouma, who as spit-fire said the other day, has to be the most improved player in a Villa shirt that we have seen in a long time, got 6% of the vote.

That left Gary Cahill on 3%, Stiliyan Petrov on 2% and Thomas Sorensen, Gavin McCann, Gabriel Agbonlahor, Luke Moore, Phil Bardsley and Olof Mellberg all scraping in with just 1% of the vote.

Our latest poll, again suggested by Col8, asks Luke Moore or Ashley Young? Personally I think it is way too soon to judge but hey ho!

Who is this Luke Young people keep mentioning ? Is this Luke Young at Charlton or our own Luke Moore ?

Luke Moore xfranc, don't think these new drugs suit me!

Even without getting goals John Carew was Villa's best player last month. His all round contribution to Villa has really saved you from being lower in the league, he defends coners well, is brilliant at holding up the ball and has alot of strength. I'm sure that Dimitar Berbatov got premiership player of the month for March.

And a deserved award at that. His performances have had to be top draw to push aside consistent monthly award winner Gareth Barry. Freddie Bouma also deserves his mention. Definitely most improved player in a Villa shirt this season. Looking now a very decent left full back. As for Dimitar Berbatov, who cares?

I have to agree with your comment about Bouma, i feel that he pushed Carew all the way for the monthly award

I actually voted for Bouma, I think he has been outstanding recently. Not that I would argue with Carew getting the award, he too has been outstanding. We just need to develop a system now to take advantage of all the great work he does.

Its nice to see another player getting "Vital Player of the Month" other than Young Barry.
