'If It's Football, It's Vital'

The Villa Times 26/09/05

There really isn't much news about at the moment, hence the scarcity of Villa Times at the moment!

Well, here is a sentence I never expected to hear from DOL, he says it is time to stop moaning! He says it is up to the rest of the Premiership to challenge Chelsea and thinks some teams are now set up to be too defensive.

Luke Moore wasn't interested in being the scorer, he wants to be the winner and says the only statistic that counts is Chelsea 2-1 Villa.

The Sunday Mirror (yeah, I know) says that Russians are about to take control of Villa (again).

Dennis Mortimer will lead 9 of his team mates out and parade the European Cup at half time v Boro to announce the launch of the DVD.

Hadn't realised until this morning but the Boro game is on Sunday at 2pm.

Kevin Phillips is hoping to be fit for the clash v Boro and says his injury (a small calf tear) is progressing well.

Delaney is hoping to prove his fitness with another run out for the reserves, v Sunderland on Tuesday.

Villa play Burnley at home in the League Cup. Wednesday 26th appears to be the date!

Watford manager Adrian Boothroyd has signed 18 year old striker Gabriel Agbonlahor on a months loan.

Aiktin has been full of praise for Davis who he says has 'grown in stature'.

Thought for the day: One of life's mysteries is how a two pound box of candy can make you gain five pounds.

Thoroughly enjoyed that game, most entertaining! Spurs on the other hand, with only 1 win in 19 at Villa Park, might not have enjoyed it quite so much.
