Jlloyd Samuel, who has again been linked to a move away from Villa in the press today, has failed to make it into his old left back position despite Bouma being unavailable due to injury, so Gareth Barry continues in the position he doesn't like playing in. O'Leary's options for strikers is limited to two, Angel and Moore with no striker cover to put on the bench. Villa are down to a squad of just 16.

Nick Barmby has failed to recover from his injury with the physios saying playing him isn't worth the risk.
