Will Villa Make It Ten With No Win?

Martin O'Neill is on the hunt for a home win against Liverpool on Sunday to put an end to our run of nine games* without 3 points. *(6 losses, 3 draws)

He said: 'As was the case with Arsenal in midweek, the record against them is not good. I can do nothing about what happened some years ago. What I can try to do is be in the position to influence things that happen now. Eventually I want to be able to change those statistics so Aston Villa are winning the games. The bottom line for us is we have to win some games. You can bring up all sorts of statistics but I don't think a win is a million miles away.'

Vital Villa asked what the results will be in a poll, looks like the majority - with 48% - are expecting the worst predicting a loss.

32% say Villa will win leaving 20% predicting another draw.

not at all confident, we no longer have Villa as a fortress and I must admit, I expected us to be far harder to beat this season, things must turn around quickly but I can't see a great deal coming out of the Liverpool game?
The Fear
if we play like we did in the second half against arsenal then we will win but its a game of 2 halves
Newman
We always seem to start *****, for no reason at all.
Cubos
I feel more confident about facing Liverpool than any of the other top 4,always sense we can nick something at home against them, just hope we stick with 4-3-3.
ASPINALL
We so need the three points its getting ridiculous. Admittedly we are playing better than results would indicate (Fulham apart), but a victory later today would steady the ship, and give the whole club a tremendous lift. Another reversal will leave us all biting our nails with frustration and concern.

So the dismal run continues, not just against Liverpool, but against the supposed 'Big 4'. We wont change the outcome of these games until we have a real go against them, particularly when on home soil. The showing against a very subdued Liverpool was dire to say the very least. They were there for the taking, but once again we came up short.
