Olejnik On The Move

Olejnik On The Move

Villa's Austrian Under-21 powerhouse goalkeeper Robert Olejnik has moved to Lincoln City on loan until the end of the season.

Olejnik, who is third choice behind Thomas Sorensen and Stuart Taylor had a spell on the bench thanks to injuries to the other two, playing back up to Gabor Kiraly. At the time Olejnik said that he had been given the chance to move to the lower leagues on loan to gain first team experience, but obviously had to stay due to injuries.

Lincoln are chasing promotion from League Two, and the loan will be extended if they reach the playoff stages.

Olejnik has been given the #21 shirt at Lincoln, and will be included in the squad that faces Hartlepool on Friday night.

Needs to be gaining experience outside of the reserve team environment. Hope he gets some games.

I know and accept that its all water under the bridge now, but I still regret very much the fact that we didn't give him an opportunity throughout December/January when we took the route of bringing in Kiraly.
