Laursen Injury Blow For Villa

Martin Laursen looks set to return to the treatment table once more after picking up a hamstring injury in Saturdays 1-1 draw with Fulham.

It is not known yet how long the Danish defender, who had only just recovered from a serious knee injury, will be out of action for.

Martin O`Neill is hopeful that he will be back soon: 'It's the story of his time with Villa - injury after injury. Hopefully this one won't be too serious, but obviously it's irksome.'

I reckon he must have a thing for Mark Delaney! Just a rumour of course!

Good player, doesn't play enough because of injury. Bring back Ridgewell. Ridgewell & Olof best centre halves we have.

Bet he will be fit for the Euros, like every semi injured player. He's not had much luck, all you can do is wish him well and hope this is his last injury for a while.

B-lose are rubbish. Chelsea have bought success. Newcastle is a small town in Scotland. Manchester is full of City fans. Laursen is injured. Unfortunately these seem like things that will never change. Hopefully though Laursen will prove this wrong because when fit, he is the most dominant centre half we have.

He's gunna see as much footy as Wilkinson is Egg Chasing

I think Villa have spent enough time and money on Laursen. He was a gamble that didn't go well. Like Delaney, he is an asset when fit but never is. Bye bye to both.

I agree with VOTH, the best we have when fit. Unfortunately that's all too seldom. I would like to see Ridgewell back alongside Ollie in Laursen's absence, the Mellberg/Cahill pairing just isn't working.

The defence needs an overhaul this summer. Not good enough.
