Bolton Boss After Villa Player

Bolton's manager Big Sam Allardyce has confirmed the rumours and confirmed he is interested in signing Villa left-back Jlloyd Samuel.

The 25-year-old defender is out of contract in the summer and Big Sam says he wouldn't mind adding him to the dirty dirty Bolton teams ranks!

He told Wanderers TV;

'I don't know what the situation is at the moment but, if a player with his capabilities came available, I'd be interested, yes.'

Are you meant to talk about other teams players like that?

Boro are also being linked to the former England Under-21 player.

Bye bye JLloyd

Yep crack on Big Sam, your for free at the end of the season.

Well we certainly dont seem keen on offering him a new deal, thats for sure. Plenty of talk from MON about sitting down with Olof and Gavin McCann, but all certainly quiet on the JLloyd front.

Stop JLloyd...don't go!..... You forgot your coat....now you can go. But I can't see Big Sam wanting him on a free. I mean if there's not a transfer fee where's the room for the creative accounting? Allegedly.

Charlie Aitkin, Stan Staunton, Little Allan Wright ( wot a player) . J Lloyd not in the same league. One of the most insignificant Villa players I have ever seen. How he played so many games under Obleary? In the same breath the price of marzipan has gone up by 10p.

I have to say I consider JLS and his attitude appalling and he will never do it consistently for Villa. Defensively he did once have some plus points, but failure to track back and close people down etc etc etc means he is untrustworthy and uncommitted as a defender and we are well rid. Going forward he was once good too, but he is too loose and too hit and miss (mainly miss) by far. That all said, if anyone can get the best out of him it is Big Sam who will give him a chance and then keep on his back to make sure he continues to deliver. Never underestimate Big Sam- everyone seems to have it in for him, but his record speaks for itself - only MON along with the inevitable dosh loaded AF, AW, and JM are better. Re another full back - Delaney is also a huge questionmark, but for entirely different reasons. Hope it still works out for him at Villa - he remains a class act. get on his back and ch

Big Sam will coach JLS correctly " now son,take it down with your left peg and using your right launch that bugger 60 yards onto Davies`s head " cue 2 games for Bolton and Jay Lloyd telling all the papers he`s got his eye on Ashleys England place.

LOL. You lot are tough buggers! I like Jlloyd, given a run of fitness I still say he would be a decent player for us. Still, looks like I'm very much in the minority. Wherever he goes, I wish him well.
The Fear
The best thing he ever did was footballers cribs on mtv. Can't remember his playing career, what did he play again guitar?????!?!?!?!

Aston Villa manager Martin O'Neill insists he has had no contact with Bolton about defender Jlloyd Samuel - and hinted he may offer the former England Under-21 player a new deal. Bolton boss Sam Allardyce has confirmed his interest in signing Samuel, who is out of contract in the summer. But O'Neill said: "No-one from Bolton has spoken to me about Jlloyd. His contract is up in the summer and in May he will be free to speak to people. "It has been a stop-start season for Jlloyd. He played in the opening game, got injured in the second game and came back from injury, then played a little bit against Manchester United, then was taken ill. "Will I offer him a new deal? I will sit down and speak to Jlloyd first of all. "He is free to speak to anyone in this country in May and if he is going abroad, he can sign a pre-contract." Samuel has played more than 200 games for Villa since being handed his debut by John Gregory eight years ago. SSN

There will be no shortage of offers for JLloyd. Makes you wonder if we're not being too hasty in allowing him to move on.
