Suspensions are now starting to bite to add to the woes of O'Leary. Milan Baros misses the game against Hull this coming Saturday. Gareth Barry picked up his 5th yellow against WBA and will miss the West Ham game and Gavin McCann + Jlloyd Samuel walk the suspension tightrope with four yellow cards each. Full story: Click Here

O'Leary's odds of being sacked have got longer as he is now 8/1 (after being the bookies favourite for the chop last month!) Full story: Click Here

Reports suggest that Villa, Everton, Manchester City, Newcastle, Wigan and Portsmouth are all chasing the signature of Charlton and former Liverpool midfielder Danny Murphy. Quite why Villa are quoted as being in the chase when Doug has already said there are no funds to buy players I don't know. Anyway, Alan Curbishley has scoffed at the links and said: 'Danny is still part of my plans here.'

More quotes in the press from Olof Mellberg saying he does see a future at Villa and that it is 'bull' that he is tired of being at the club.

Mark Delaney has thanked the fans for not turning on him following his transfer request and thanked them for the support they have shown him. He also re-iterates he doesn't want to leave Villa. The fans appear to agree having sung 'sign him up' in the last few games. Full story: Click Here

Eirik Bakke wants to stay at Villa, but only if the loan deal is made permanent. Full story:Click Here

Kevin Phillips has suffered a set back following ankle surgery and has confirmed, barring a miracle, that he won't be fit for the cup game this weekend v Hull.

Lee Hendrie has been linked to a move away from Villa Park with the Guardian suggesting Villa will listen to offers for the midfielder. Full story: Click Here
