La la la la la Young's Loving It!

La la la la la Young's Loving It!

Ashley Young says he has settled at the club easily and is enjoying every minute!

Young, who cost £8million in the January transfer window, making him the second most expensive player we've ever bought behind Juan Pablo Angel, told the official site:

'I've settled in really well here at Villa. It's very good. The boys have been great and the staff too. It's a really easy place to settle in at. I'm really enjoying myself. It's a big change leaving a club and joining a new one. It's all new to me but it's easy to settle here because there are some great people at the club. I've enjoyed every minute of every day and I really enjoy coming into training every day.'

'It's great to have the fans behind me too. In my first game they were singing my name and on my home debut they gave me a standing ovation. You can't ask for much more than that.'

And on the system he added: 'It's a different style here to what I've been used to at Watford but I'm really enjoying the way the boys are playing and passing. The movement is totally different and I think the team will improve the more we play together. Scoring on my debut was great but the result was the main thing and we lost. We got beat at Reading too and we want to put that away form right against Fulham. We've got to keep our heads down and work hard in training and hopefully we'll get the right result when the next game comes around.'

Well said col8. Very sensible and factual comment. I like the youngster (no, not col8, Ashley - I do like col8 too though). Yes he's far from the finished article, but in the three games I've seen him play in the claret and blue to date, he's shown enough to suggest that we've got an exciting young talent on our hands. Good to read that he's settled in at VP and is a happy little bunny. And this is only the beginning Ashley, only the beginning.

Yes, his heading ability from what we've seen to date suggest that its not his strongest asset.
