'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Agent - Sutton Will Play Again

Following on from the Martin O'Neill comments on the frustration felt by Villa striker Chris Sutton, his agent has now spoken and says the 33-year-old is optimistic that he will play again.

Agent Tony McGill told BBC Sport: 'It is far too premature to say. There is absolutely no timeframe on a return. I'm pretty confident he will play again but my main concern was his health. Thankfully he is not going to have a long-term problem with his eye.'

Adding: 'The first concern was Chris's health. I'm very happy Chris can lead a normal life. He has five lovely kids and a nice family - first and foremost is his health and he does not have a permanent problem. As regards football, he has blurred vision in one of his eyes and is getting counselling and treatment for that - the very best advice.'

'It is not like he can take a tablet and everything will be OK tomorrow. We will just see how it all pans out. It is a case of one step at a time. We have not had any talks with Villa about his future. There is certainly no time limit on it.'

He's hardly the first Villa striker not to be able to see the opposition's goal.

Jim Walker once asked Paul McGrath once to head both balls he saw during a game when God was seeing double - any chance we could ask big Chris to do the same?? Get well soon Sutt!

Well If he is still seeing three balls just head the one in the middle I should be a Doctor really.

Good news from his agent, even though it all comes across as a bit 'iffy'. Get well soon Big Chris.

A lot of us were against his appointment but he certainly had the ability to change a game, Get well soon,
