Hercules In Bullish (Lionish) Mood
Just as we began to think the season was all but over and the quest for success was going to have to be put on hold until next season it has been announced that Hercules the mascot will be taking part in a charity race.
The event last year raised thousands of pounds for the British Heart Foundation. The event takes place at Brindley Place on Wednesday April 18 at 6pm.
Hercules has been interviewed before this crucial event (oh shut up, it is a quiet news day and I'm bored) and said: 'I have stepped my training programme recently and have been practicing by running up and down the Holte End of Villa Park. Confidence is sky high, and I wouldn't even bother turning up if I was one of the other competing mascots. I'm the king of the jungle and with my high protein diet I am bursting with energy and ready to hear that gun go off!'
The official site adds the following information: Why don't you get your own heart pumping by joining in! Get together with colleagues, friends or even rivals to make up a team of four for this competitive fun event.
Only 40 teams can take part in this fantastic event and therefore registrations will be taken on a first come basis. For further information please call 0800 169 3672 or e-mail westevents@bhf.org.uk.

When I was icckle, my dad used to tell me that the 15th player (in the days of 3 subs) had to be the lion for the day. Think I believed him too. D'oh!

I think Hercules is the 'mane' man. And Deano it is not very PC to ask if Bella is stopping at home to wash up. In todays age of equality I expect her to do a full days work before she does the washing up!!
