Manchester City have already shown the world their intent to bring the very best and show money is absolutely no object as they look to dominate world football.
The ramifications of the possible signing of Kaka have yet to het the game, as I'm sure it will, much to the detriment of the game, with every other deal adding an extra nought to the fee of their very average players...
As City now look to throw their money towards Upton Park and the JJB to tempt Wilson Palacios and Craig Bellamy to Manchester, it could well be that Harry misses out on two of his major targets as we are cast aside by City`s bottomless pit of cash..
Personally I still think that Bellamy will sign for Spurs, for three very good reasons.
1: He has already started his desire to remain in London with his family.
2: Money isn`t his main Priority so he is looking for personal over financial issues.
3: He wants to play football in a stable environment, not be downgraded for a £50 million Albanian in six months..
I think the Palacios deal could be different, he is already in the North West, so logistically it is an easy move. At this time Manchester ride is far more exciting than the one currently taking place anywhere else in football, lots will fall off, but it could be one hell of a journey..
At 24 Palacios has time to gamble. Sign for big money today and see what happens. Players have so much control today and if he wants out, he can always move on with a bank balance far bigger than when he joined and with reputation intact.
It may well be that Harry still gets both players, or neither, but I have a strong feeling that we will get one and not the other and although I rate both, I think we will end up with the one we need least.
That is the Tottenham way after all aint it??
