'If It's Football, It's Vital'

O'Neill Banking On Fans

Martin O'Neill has called for the claret and blue faithful to be in rousing form against the Baggies on Saturday.

The gaffer has never been shy of praising the fans this season for helping to drive the team on and he's hoping he gets more of the same to give us an extra boost in the derby clash.

Speaking on the official site he said:

'I am sure it will be a great atmosphere on Saturday.

'From here on in, if we can keep the momentum going, I can imagine Villa Park being really vibrant.

'I thought the support we received throughout against Arsenal was absolutely fantastic.

'Even at two-down the fans didn't give up on us and kept us going. It certainly didn't go unnoticed in the dressing room after the game, let me assure you.

'The fans have been tremendous. And it's great to know they are firmly behind us.

'I think Villa Park will be rocking against West Brom. We want to keep that momentum going.'

We'll be there Mart, both in numbers and in full voice. A capacity attendance surely? If we can repeat the electric atmosphere created for the Arsenal game on Boxing Day, then the grand old stadium will be well and truly rockin' once again.
