Aston Villa Boxing Day Transer Rumours

Aston Villa Boxing Day Transer Rumours

Real Madrid boss Juande Ramos (how did he get that job after failing so badly at Spurs?!) is still apparently chasing Villa winger Ashley Young and the Daily Star claim Young is the Spanish giants top target saying they'll bid £25million for him in January. £25m? You have to got to be having a laugh. I'd think double that and then some!

The Daily Mail claim Blackburn striker Benni McCarthy wants to leave Ewood Park in January. Hmmm, knows where the goal is?!?! Apparently he was upset when Sam Allardyce subbed the striker who was chasing a hat trick against Stoke.

Some whispers are claiming that Emile Heskey is Villa bound, however various papers today say he'll return to Liverpool for around £4m.

Another story doing the rounds today is that West Ham have turned down a £6million bid for Craig Bellamy from Spurs. Bellend has also been linked to Villa. Apparently the Hammers want around £15m for the striker. Think they'll struggle to get even half that with his injury record and suspect temperament?!

One striker linked to Villa but now certainly not on his way is West Ham striker Dean Ashton who Vital West Ham report is out until the end of the season due to fresh injury problems. 'The England striker was originally scheduled to return to first team action around January but it remains questionable that the 25-year-old will play any further part in this season at all.' Kenwyne Jones from Sunderland and Jermaine Beckford from Leeds United, those are two players I would love to see arriving at Birmingham B6 in the January window. Heskey does not appeal to me in the slightest, neither does Crouch or Bent, two other names we've been supposedly linked with.

Looks like Marlon Harewood will be very definitely heading for the exit door. His Villa Park career is going backwards, and its difficult to see him ever getting back into favour with MON. Nathan Delfouesno is now ahead of Marlon in the fight for a starting place.
