Lawro Predicts West Ham v Villa Draw

Mark Lawrenson has predicted a 2-2 draw in the West Ham v Villa game on Saturday (live on Sultana)

Lawro told the BBC site:

'I was starting to fear the worst for West Ham, with the dreaded R word moving into the equation, but they had a top result at Chelsea.

The Hammers are still struggling to win games but will have taken confidence from that 1-1 draw.

Aston Villa look more dangerous away from home than at Villa Park.

With James Milner and Ashley Young out wide, and Gabriel Agbonlahor playing through the middle, they break with pace and power and possess a great threat.'

Murph will be along later in a spectacular return to match preview heaven!

I can only see a Villa win. I really hope you continue your good form and stay in the top four!

lol, love that image! Hopefully the pressure won't get to the lads, I think we've a good chance although our record v Spam isn't great in recent years.
The Fear
When Lawro speaks, the footballing world shuts up and listens. Well maybe not, but ahead of the game I think that I personally would settle for another precious point and a 2-2 draw. Wont be easy though, the Hammers will be on a high following last weekends deserved draw at Stamford Bridge.

Have to agree with you Jonathan. We haven't done to well at Upton Park down the years, its always been a very difficult and tricky game for us. I think that in all the times I've been there since the late 60's, I've only seen us come away with a victory on two or three occasions. Three points there though this weekend would make up very niocely for all of the disappointments. Fingers crossed.
