Man Of The Match v Bolton

Man Of The Match v Bolton

Vital Villan, under the guise of 'what a match' asked for your man of the match votes for Villa v Bolton. Well, actually he asked for your MotM votes because he doesn't like to strain his little fingers typing anything any longer... but hey ho! :o)

The winner by a country mile was Gabriel Agbonlahor with 59%

The closest to him was Ashley Young with 18%

The rest were basically also rans:

Friedel (5%)
Barry (5%)
Petrov (3%)
Milner (2%)
Laursen (2%)
Davies (1%)
L. Young (1%)
Cuellar (1%)
Shorey (1%)
Reo-Coker (1%)
Harewood (1%)
Sidwell (0%)

Our latest poll asks If MON decides to shop 'locally' which striker should we go for in Jan?

Doyle is the only one in the Poll who isn't a big time Charlie like Defoe and should fit into the team and its much talked about good atmosphere. Sidwell and Shorey are already there. Anyone else is either a build up player/Heskey,Crouch ; or past it/ Bellamy, Keane, McCarthy, ; just crap/Nugent. The others will keep the physios constantly busy and Zaki is out of reach with the Man Citeh boys around.

i Would love owen or ashton if they could keep fit. we have done well so far not signing any injury prone players in the past so why start now. when west ham a couple of seasons a go where signing a bunch like bellamy, dyer etc i was a bit envious and look how that has turned out. I'm just not sure they are worth the risk. I think we need 2 forwards though, 1 a goalscorer, 1 a hold up player, whether we get them both in Jan is another thing. i am going to contradict myself and say Owen and Heskey/Crouch
