Villa Stars At Book Signing On Thursday

Villa stars will be cooking up a treat as they sign copies of the new charity recipe book on Thursday.

The first team heroes will be on hand at the Villa Store, Villa Park at 2pm to sign copies of Villa on a Plate – the club’s new lip-smacking publication.

Villa's special claret and blue cookbook is on sale now - with all proceeds going to the club's chosen charity, Acorns. It features recipes from the current first team squad as well as top claret and blue figures from the past and celebrity supporters.

So if you want to know Brad Friedel's culinary secrets or what dish Ashley Young can't resist, this is the must-have publication of the year.

Among the recipes in the 116-page book are blackened bass and corn fritters, coleslaw and remoulade - a favourite of Randy Lerner - and star striker John Carew's choice of apple crumble.Villa boss Martin O'Neill shares the same food passions as midfielder Gareth Barry, who both chose a Sunday Roast.

The recipe book is now on sale in the Villa Stores in Villa Village and New Street and costs just 15.

AND you can also purchase directly from www.acorns.org.uk
