'If It's Football, It's Vital'

The Hare - Future Unclear But Plays Tonight

Martin O'Neill has spoken about Marlon Harewood in the Express and Star saying he isn't sure what the future has in store for the former West Ham striker.

The 29-year-old, who has failed to make much of an impact at Villa since his surprise move to Villa Park, has been linked to several clubs including Reading, Nottingham Forest and even muted as a possible swap deal for Wigan's Emile Heskey.

The Hare is set to start tonight in the UEFA Cup, but Martin O'Neill has refused to talk about the players future saying only the speculation isn't anything to do with him!

He added, 'I just don't know. I don't want to be making absolute statements and then find out you are eating a fair dose of humble pie about two days later.'

He also says of his inclusion tonight, 'He is fresh now and raring to go. His enthusiasm should be at its peak.'

Lets hope so, a few goals would be a timely reminder to potential suitors, he certainly deserves to be at a club who can give him regular football which was never really going to be Aston Villa was it?

I've just done a speculative piece that he may be joining us at the 'Thorns - though to be honest I don't reckon he'd add too much to us. You should see some of the names we've been linked with. Not exactly Man Cityesque.

He will fight and give you 100% mind you, a bit of heart might pull the other players into fighting mode Alex?
The Fear
Alex, as long as you feed him he will score.

Villan444
He's awful. Get rid a.s.a.p

Give him his due, he cannot be faulted for effort or commitment to the cause. He'll do a good job for someone, somewhere. Good luck to him. Pity it didn't work out for him at Villa Park, but it was always going to be tough for him.

Nicky Shorey will come good Villan444, he'll be o.k. Too good a player not to. Sticky start, but the ability is there.
