Villa On A Plate - How About Goat Curry?!

Villa have released a cook book call Villa on a Plate which is now available from Villa Stores.

The book is filled with a unique collection of dishes and what makes it special is that all proceeds from the sale of the book will be donated to Acorns Children’s Hospice.

Villa on a plate contains a selection of favourite recipes from famous Villans including players and managers past and present, famous celebrity supporters and club VIP's.

Alison Plant, Head of Hospitality & Events said: 'Let’s all try and make Christmas a very special time for the children at Acorns and go out and buy the book!!'

So if you want to see which Villan, always on the fiddle, likes bangers and mash, and which current player opted for CURRIED GOAT (no, seriously!!) then buy the book and help out Acorns - albeit at the expense of the worlds goat population!

The cost of the book is 15.00 per copy and are available from the Villa shops AND directly from www.acorns.org.uk

It is a top book, O'Neill, Barry, Aitkin, Ian Taylor, Luke and Ashley Young, Sid Cowans, Rander Lerner, Morley, Sir Dennis of Mortimer etc all featured. I've burnt my way through 5 recipes already!

I honestly don't get the problem with curried Goat. He was a great striker and we will always love him at City, but if you guys want to sign Shaun as a replacement for Carew (less trouble) then please go ahead. Shaun still has the legs and has scored a lot more goals than big John. Just keep feeding him... Hee hee. Just kiddin! What a great idea for a recipe book. Anything that helps kids that way gets the thumbs up from me. (And in all honesty Caribbean curried goat is probably my favourite food treat)

My favourite recipe was General Krulaks "Pigs in the Mud" best served as a cold dish on a Cheap Gold Plate.

Great idea by the club. All for the right reasons. This link-up with Acorns looks to be working very well.
