Villa Win The Fear Factor

Gareth Barry said that Villa had got over the 'fear factor' after beating Arsenal and drawing with Manchester United.

The Villa and England midfielder said: 'People have talked about us and the fear factor against teams like Arsenal and United but results like we've had give us the belief. It's a great sign for us.'

However he also says the team have their feet on the ground knowing there is still some way for Villa to go to be a regular top four team.

'But if you look at what's happening with Arsenal, things seem up in the air and the results aren't going their way. It gives us a chance to break in and we have to be ready to take it if it is there for us.'

Meanwhile Sir Chewalot says that Villa can break the top four.

The Man Utd boss said the game proved that Villa are 'a much improved side'.

Adding, 'There is no doubt that Villa have got a lot more consistency about them at present and I definitely think they really could be in the top four.'

Once you are in the Top4 (as we are) you need to keep consistant, and if we can get a win this weekend and Chelsea can get the win over Le Arse, then we should be in with a real chance. One game at a time.

5 Points off the top 4 and we are sitting in 4th place after playing them all already. If we are still there on Boxing Day then I will start to get really excited.

To be honest i was a little disappointed with the result, a draw has really dented our title hopes...
lorenzo
lorenzo you can thank Jonathan Fear for that... he alone has removed the Fear factor from the Villa.

lets sign podolski!!!!! would be perfect in my opinion

Now we have to push on, build on the result, not rest on our laurels. Long way to go, and despite what many would love you to believe, the Arsenal are far from dead and buried.

I'd be considerably more confident if we had options and alternatives up front. JC and his niggling injuries are leaving us very threadbare.
