'If It's Football, It's Vital'

41% Say Villa Win - Lawro Disagrees!

Oh dear, confidence seems high! I hate it when confidence is high!

Vital Villa asked what Villa would do v Man Utd today.

41% voted WIN
31% a more realistic draw
28% a predictable loss.

Mark Lawrenson is in the loss camp, that said he predicted we'd lose 2-0 to Arsenal and in fact won by that margin!

Anyway, Lawro says on the BBC:

'Aston Villa haven't got a great record against United. As good as their result was last week beating Arsenal, I still fancy United. And there's also the fact that one or two members of United were getting a rest during the week of international duty.'

And predicts 0-2

He is right about the record: (Click Here) but is he right about today? We'll find out this evening I guess!

Being a perrenial pesimist where Villa and manure are concerned I expect a loss BUT, 'hope springs eternal' so they say and deep inside I am longing for that win. Without a doubt, if it happens, it will be the second best result of the season. The best would be winning at Old Trafford.

41% merely confirms what an optimistic bunch we are here on VV. Haven't had a better chance of beating them here at VP in recent seasons, but a repeat performance along the lines of The Emirates showing is an absolute must if we are to avoid getting turned over again.

One would imagine that on Vital Man Utd, the similar question asking how their members expect United to get on at B6, would result on 80% plus going for a United victory.
