'If It's Football, It's Vital'

The Return Of Big Ron & His Villa Compliments!

I must admit I didn't realise how much I'd missed listening to Big Ron after his 'absence' from the press but since he has been on radio WM commentating on Villa games, I've realised what a top Villa man he is. He still uses Ronglish which is ace and certainly gives as good as he gets in the phone ins!

Anyway, that is the long way around saying the former Villa manager has told the official site that Villa totally deserved the win v Arsenal at the weekend.

'Villa were easily the better side. They gave a great team performance - there were absolutely no weak links in the team. Everybody did their job brilliantly. I thought the victory was comprehensive and thoroughly deserved.'

He also pointed out the importance in the game of Gareth Barry, Steve Sidwell and Stiliyan Petrov, the latter being just back from injury and once again proving just what a player he has now developed into for Villa. Who'd have thought it on last years showing eh?! Superb news, hey cliche warning but he really IS like a new signing!

Ron added, 'I like to see players with pace who run at people. Pace terrifies defenders and Villa have that in abundance, in the likes of Gabby and Ashley.'

I love Big Ron - his Villa team were a joy to watch. What a day at Wembley he gave us when we spanked Manure and never forget he got us to 2nd in the Premiership. A Villa legend.

Yes, and never thought we'd welcome him to Villa Park either following his days at the helm at The Hawthorns, when lets not forget he built that superb West Bromwich Albion team of the early eighties.

I like him as a pundit, always have done, finding his views to be refreshing and honest, and theres not too much of that about in the media nowadays.

Big Ron brings things the table very few can. Firstly his knowlegde is second to none, his experience at the top is legendary allie all this with dare I say charisma, you have a great combination. The man in my eyes is a LEGEND!!! By the way I, and I think Glensider always thought Petrov was a great player. He just took a while to gel. Thankfully MON didn,t listen to some of the advice he recieved on here by certain parties!!!!!
