Lerner Settles Down

Makes him sound like a playboy doesn't it. However it simply means Randy has picked himself a Midlands base as he works with O'Neill to regrow our club.

According to the Mirror, Randy has splashed out on a £2.5 million farmhouse in Warwickshire in order to put some roots down in the Midlands nearby Bodymoor Heath.

Lerner has remained as elusive as ever for the media, and that is still a bonus, although the hacks feel differently.

I'm much happier hearing nothing from Randy, but seeing his commitment and vision played out by how our club is improving.

If he wants actions to speak louder than words, as the General has said, then they certainly are to this fan.

Lerner is to rebuild the secluded property as he intends to spend more time in the UK to achieve his aims for the club.

Why they didn't just build a Penthouse Suite on top of Bodymoor I don't know, he'd have had his own gym, and swimming pool then.

Good to hear that Lerner is getting a bit closer to the team...literally. The NFL regular season only runs until December, or February if the Browns manage to make it to the post-season so we should see a little more of Lerner in the new year.

Warwickshiire? Strange that, I heard that he had bought a little place in Tipton.

Just how many former owners/chairmen have achieved hero status at VP? Mr Lerner certainly will some day.

Haven't we read something along these lines before, only for the matter to be dismissed out of hand later?

Not saying that if it does prove to be true, that it isn't a good idea, it very definitely is. Closer to the action, more accessible to VP and BH, and the problems that no doubt pop up from time to time.
