'If It's Football, It's Vital'

More To Come From Villa Youngsters

James Milner believes Gabby has improved his game twofold since breaking through from the reserves, but he believes all our youngsters still have more to show.

Speaking on the official site Milner has seen Gabby improvement, both in his time at the club previously and whilst on U21 duty.

'Gabby is a fantastic player to have in your side. His pace causes all sorts of problems going forward and he also is an outlet when we are defending.

'You look up and you know if you put a decent ball behind him, he will make something of it. His partnership with John Carew is great too. They are certainly on the same wavelength.

'Gabby is more than just pace. His awareness has improved. He was all pace when he started out.

'Now he can hold it up and he has done it very well this season. I am sure he has watched and learnt from John because there is no-one better in that role that Big John.

'Gabby's all-around play is exceptional now - he showed that with his work for John's goal at Wigan.'

All of our younger players have been receiving rave reviews this season again, and have certainly helped push us up the league. At points the more experienced players could learn a thing or two from them.

Milner believes all of the younger lads can and will only get better, stating:

'You ain't seen nothing yet!

'Villa is a great place to play football. The set-up is fantastic.

'It helps playing in a winning team when confidence is high. I am enjoying myself and playing with some good players.

'I am still learning how to play with them because it takes a while to gel when you come to a new club.

'It's about getting on that wavelength. Hopefully we will get better and better. And I certainly don't think you have seen the best of us.'

this is the key to our club for me...gabby, young, milner, coker and sidders are still all very young, you can probably include guzan, gardner, curtis, and the fonz too and with the right guidance from staff and players we have a strong young nucleus that could challenge anybody's posistion at any club when in form and half that list still needs time to settle in! happy days utv

there is a great crop of English youngsters around the country at the moment......

We've got ourselves a few very talented youngsters at B6. Obviously because of their age the jury is still very much out, but in our reserve team there are three or four who should be knocking on the first team door very soon.

The Carew/Agbonlahor partnership is much maligned by some, but when on song (or fit in JC's case), they are a handful for any opposition defence.
