Young Villan Back out on Loan

Aston Villa`s young striker Sam Williams has joined League One side Colchester United for a 3 month loan spell.

Williams, who was starting to look impressive in the reserves, suffered a pelvic injury and his step up to full fitness will now take yet another loan spell turn, with Williams already having been loaned out to both Wrexham and Brighton.

The youngster is expected to feature at some point during Colchester`s FA Trophy match against Bournemouth on Tuesday evening as normal starting striker Clive Platt is likely to be out with a dead leg.

I like Sam, got a lot of time for him. Injuries have set him back, but I think that he'll score goals at this level, after that? Who knows?

He and Adam McGurk were two lads with great potential. Sadly both suffered serious injuries. Hopefully both can get back on track.
