Lawro Tips Villa To Draw At St James Park
Oh my good Lord Paul McGrath, Lawro has broken with his recent tradition of tipping Villa to win!
It seems the BBC pundit is tipping Villa to draw up at St James Park.
The non-moustached one said:
'In 10 matches this season Martin O'Neill has hardly changed the Villa team and it shows in their results.
He has got partnerships throughout the team, everybody knows what each other is doing, where they like the ball, and their strengths and weaknesses.
There are little glimpses that Newcastle are getting it together. Joe Kinnear has done OK. They've become a little bit more direct but the signs are that their confidence is coming back.'
And predicts a 1-1 draw.

From O'Neills match preview on the OS it sounds as though a few fringe players are going to be starting tonight - and his 'some players will have to play in different positions' line makes me think that Barry could possibly be back a LB again. Despite me picking 'win' on the poll, I'm thinking we could struggle now.

GB has scored 3 in 3 so MON surely can't move him back there especially with the possible absense of Stan. Unless we play 3 at the back with Nige and Luke as full backs........

Massive game this. If we win, we've beaten any heebyjeebies about being top 4. If we lose, we could freefall in morale. MASSIVE game.

Are you preparing yourself for the worst evo? If we lose, i'd hardly say it shows we have the heebyjeebies, it could mean we're pretty knackered and putting out a team that hasn't been playing together much (presuming MON does change things around)

Lawrenson was clearly of the opinion that most of us were, namely that we were capable of getting something at St James Park. Doubtful that he's as disappointed though as we are this morning.

We just never wanted it enough did we? Even when slightly on top during the first forty-five, we never really suggested that we had the capabilities to take the game by the scruff of the neck.
