Aston Villa Are Full Of Goals

Aston Villa Are Full Of Goals

Once again, it looks like Villa are full of goals and not only from the front to. Last season Villa scored 71 goals, with only Manchester United (80) and Arsenal (74) scoring more and importantly those goals came from all over the pitch, including our very own great Dane, Martin Laursen.

This season so far:

Gabby Agbonlahor has a hattrick off the pitch and also 6 Premiership goals and 1 goal in Europe.

John Carew has 5 PL goals and must surely be looking to catch Gabby up!? Great if these two start to look to out do each other all through the season.

Gareth Barry has 2 PL goals and 3 in Europe.

Martin Laursen has 1 PL and 2 in Europe.

Ashley Young, providor of so many, has 2 PL and 1 in Europe.

Oooooh The Hokey Cokey has 1 in the PL and 1 in Europe.

Craig Gardner has weighed in with 1 goal in Europe, as has Marlon Harewood.

James Milner has 1 cup goal whilst at Newcastle United.

Stiliyan Petrov has 1 European goal, Steve Sidwell scored on his PL debut v Wigan last weekend and Luke Young scored his first goal for Villa on Wednesday night v Blackburn.

So there you have it, who will be out top scorer though!? That is the question on everyone lips, well, the question on our latest poll anyway.

50 years a villan, Gabby was seeing 3 different girls all around the same time and none of them knew about each other. He got all three of them pregnant. Hence the hat trick off the pitch ;)

I personally think we're conceding way too many goals. Thats more of a concern I think, than lack of goals at the other end.

Despite all of these goals spread throughout nthe team, I'd still like to see a couple more quality strikers come onboard in January, if only to give us options.
